I like a nicely padded shoe around the ankle area to get a firm fit, and these give me just that. Blissfully comfortable within seconds of wearing, none of that "breaking in" time needed. I bought them in the "Desert Crazyhorse" shade and they look great with a good pair of jeans. Would buy a second pair if they still had them in my size!
