sturdy, but not much space November 15, 2008 Senior Consultant (London) Now looks first. It looks modern and has more of a shoulderbag look to it than many other laptop bags. That's a plus. But somehow in real life it doesn't look as good as in pictures, especially after you cram in all your laptop stuff (more of that later). And for me at least the light blue details didn't quite work. Then the inside. It's very sturdy and has lots of protection for the laptop inside. This is good if you want to make sure that your laptop is safe. However all this protection takes quite a bit of space, making the bag bigger and it still doesn't have any space in it. Space is the biggest issue. I only have 14" laptop to put in, but I strugle a bit to get in a mouse and power supply. After you cram those in, they make the outside portude, ruining the looks slightly. There are all sorts of handy and secure pockets for papers and little things, but there really isn't any really good place to put in the power supply. They've stuffed in a separete ipod (or maybe a pda) bag that then connects to the rest of the bag. Seriously, I don't know anybody who would put their ipod in their bag, how do you listen to it. Pointless. Tried using it for a while, but didn't end up liking it. I would rather trade some of the protection it offers to either portability or space, I mean I don't intend to throw my laptop around. I travel a lot, so I really need a good bag with enough space. This wasn't it. It looks bigger than it is (making it slightly uncomfortable to carry). Currently looking for a new laptop bag.
good build quality but not big enough August 9, 2008 G. Rao (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have just received my bag and to start with i'm really not happy with it. The plus points with my order: 1. Delivered on time and in good condition. 2.Build quality is simply superb Cons: My 15.4 acer aspire 5720 struggles to fit in.There is absolutely no space for battery and cables after you thrust in the laptop. It did not even fit my housmate's dell laptop as well so i'm pretty much sure it is not a problem with my laptop. This product has nice look and feel but alas size does matters. If you have a 14.1 or even a 15" inch laptop, this is definitely for you. Best Regards, G Rao
Protection, Protection, Protection March 21, 2008 David Gerard Pelan (Belfast, N. Ireland) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
To start, great case design. Very modern. Doesn't look as much like a laptop case than other ones which means you're less likely to get robbed when carrying your kit around. Despite its size, there are loads of hidden compartments and bigger obvious ones. Comes with a little case to put you "mp3"(it screams iPod) in. The big seller, is the amount of protection this case gives. Has a protective sleeve that you pull out and put the laptop in. Then all this goes in the case which has even more protection than the sleeve. Sealed by a zip and the velcro flap, it gives it the best protection around. Its a little fiddly to get the laptop out of the sleeve at first but you get used to it. The sleeve is better for more modern, slimmer laptops (like the Dell Inspiron 1525, the one I have). I bought this for the sole purpose of protecting my laptop. If thats what you're looking for, this is the case for you.
