the non-walkers impression November 22, 2008 Simon D (Coventry, UK) I am not a walker, and these shoes will never see the wet muddyness of a hillside in the winter, but on the street they are warm, comfortable and flexible. For the price nothing beats them!
overall a poor shoe September 29, 2008 T. Barker 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Agree with the other reviewers, although they are cheap, its a false economy; the rubber wore through on the heel very quickly (in a couple of months) so when i walked my heal was pretty much touching the groud and they are very unwaterproof. At the sides my feet got wet at the slightest hint of wetness. Fork out another 20 to get a pair of decent walking shoes that will last.
Cheap, barely adequate and indifferent quality September 20, 2008 Cartimand (Hampshire, UK.) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Initially comfortable, although you will soon start to notice the lack of cushion and support in the heel, these shoes are very short lived. The sole seems to be made of particularly soft rubber, which wears to paper thinness within a few walks. Expect no more than 3-5 months use. For casual shoes they are ok but no better than most trainers, and for any serious walking, you would do far better to invest in higher quality.
Ok for the price August 29, 2008 "Smith" Reader (West Midlands United Kingdom) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
These 'Summit' walking shoes are good value for just under 21 - no more. Ok for short country walks or around town - but as for proper walking shoes they are very poor. After 20 miles these shoes are starting to come apart. A good example of you get what you pay for. Ok for town and they do look well on when new.
