a very practical guide January 18, 2002 33 out of 34 found this review helpful
This is a great book, it introduces ayurveda in a simple easy to understand manner. Written by the leading expert on ayurveda in the UK, Dr Godagama explains how we can incorporate ayurvedic priciples into our daily lives..Dr Godagama also describes what happens in a typical clinic consultation...I found it very useful before seeing my practitioner. I have many books on ayurveda and since this book is written by someone who has studied the subject in depth, it ranks amongst the best.
An excellent introduction to this complex science January 10, 2002 23 out of 24 found this review helpful
One of the best introductions to ayurveda I have read, the book clearly explains the depth of this science without confusing the reader. I was particularly impressed at the case studies which highlight the vast number of conditions that can be treated with ayurveda...the author provides clear advise on diet and how we can all incorporate ayurvedic principles into our daily lives. The book takes you through the steps of a visit to an ayurvedic clinic...overall a must read for anyone interested in this subject...I highly recommend it
a simple introduction to such a compex subject; really clear March 18, 2001 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
Ayurveda seems to have more relevance than ever to our western society and so much to offer given the lack of time gps have. I really felt that some of the treatments offered here could help, and had the confidence to try, with brilliant results.

This book really helped me understand this complex subject May 5, 1999 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Very easy to read and great narration from an author who had had 30 years experience in this field. I never knew auyveda could cure, eczhema, IBS, and a whole host of other disaeses. This is a good book to read if your are considering ayurvedic treatment, since it includes a list of clinics, which i found to be of use.
