Incredibly Helpful... June 13, 2008 Oscar 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've got to admit - I'm not usually a fan of these kind of books but Gael has transformed aspects of my thinking. This book is well thought out and brilliantly written. I was engrossed from cover to cover and find that Gael manages to deal with fairly complex issues in an easy to understand manner, whilst (most importantly!) still keeping the reading interesting. This is the first book of Gael's I have read but I am working my way through the rest of the collection now.
A ground-breaking guide - brilliant! June 11, 2008 T. de Grunwald (London, UK) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Is there no end to Gael's wisdom? I make this her 20th book and it's yet another excellent read. Brilliantly observed and sensitively written, The Emotional Healing Strategy is a must-read for anyone wishing to move forward to a brighter future. Whether you're struggling to get over a recent death, trying to move on from a failed relationship or still being niggled by a nasty comment someone made about you 10 years ago, this book provides the tools to help you face your future with clarity and a sense of peace. Fantastic.
Emotional Healing June 8, 2008 Dr. Anne White (UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
`Doctors are trained in hospital medicine to make sense of patients' stories to come to a diagnosis. But if, for example, a heart specialist meets a patient for whom a cardiological cause cannot be found, it is time-honoured practice to refer back to their GP. This book describes a useful way for GPs to help patients who have had an emotional experience that is affecting their lives. It gives a structure for the path to recovery that the patient and GP can discuss and use. I shall be recommending The Emotional Healing Strategy to my patients. Gael's use of her own experiences and strategies for coping will give a lot of readers hope and ideas for their own future recovery'
