A definite for learning reflexology July 17, 2006 A. Knapp (Veghel, The Netherlands) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
If you are thinking of doing a course or just want to know more about reflexology, then both is possible with this book. It is very clear in how to do it and where to find things. It uses drawings which are very easy to use and gives treatments for a whole list of medical problems. All information is neatly organised and easy to find. It takes you from baby reflexology to stress at school, from couple reflexology to adult/ old age pensioners treatments and even includes terminal illness treatments. Use it to learn from, as reference book or just to find information on reflexology. I would definitely recommend this book if you want to know more about reflexology, especially if you want to go and use it.
Great book February 7, 2006 nocran (uk) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I am studying reflexology at present and after reading a few articles which said reflexolgy could not possibly be doing all the things claimed by therapists that it did, I was getting a bit disheartened. I then bought this book and it has restored my faith in this great therapy once again, the book is very well written with many examples on how to deal with different conditions.
Reflexology for Students July 21, 2003 T. Bendell (Rugby, UK) 28 out of 28 found this review helpful
Having used this book as a student, I can certainly recommend it to other potential students or practicing therapists. It is well laid out, with good quality detailed diagrams, and provides useful explanations for learning the basic techniques. It also has excellent information given in the form of good diagrams, relating to the reflexes to stimulate, for each of the major/ commonly occuring illnesses. Probably not the most interesting of books for the amateur.
Good book only if you are a qualified Reflexologist December 29, 2001 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
Reading the beginning of Laura Normans book I was hopeful about the rest of the content. However as a student a book which was categorised into systems of the body would have been more beneficial. I feel this book is only useful if you have already qualified as a reflexologist and want to build upon your current knowledge. It gives detailed sections on specific ailments , age groups and areas to work on. It is probably a book I will refer to at a later date when I have more experience and need a reference guide.
A factual and interesting book for the beginner to the art. September 7, 2001 leegr33n@aol.com (England) 23 out of 23 found this review helpful
I first used laura normans book when i was doing a diploma in reflexology in college. I found her approach to the subject an excellant welcome to the art of reflexology, and i base alot of my methods around her own. She offers different insights into the application as well as the self healing that comes from the mind. I still find that even whilst i now have my own clientele, i still reach for laura normans book to compare some of her techniques with my own. Im glad that I trained and had this invaluable tool as one of my teachers.
