A great place to start - very comprehensive guide November 26, 1998 60 out of 62 found this review helpful
I found this a very interesting Introduction. It is the first work on the subject I have read and I had recently rekindled the first lesson I had from someone who could dowse. I very quickly found the answers to questions about foods that were good for me. I found my regular breakfast cereal bad for me to my surprise until I read the label. "Whey solids" I have a very low tolerance for dairy products!! I now discover an enormous number of cereals with whey solids in them! It rejected the de-caffienated coffeee I used but accepted Tesco's own which I had been informed used a natural rather than chemical process for removing the caffeine. Paracetemol also received a violent "NO" but salt which I have always felt a great need for was passed with flying colours! I have discovered water flowing under my kitch (no my pipes go up the wall not under) - I am now able to follow the path of the water pipe to the outbuildings which I wish I had been able to do when we put up the tent for my daughter's wedding earlier this year! The most gruesome discovery were the human remains at the end of my property already thought to be a medieval burial ground. My home made wire rods clearly state there are human remains about every six feet in some areas! I haven't gone into the finer points of discovering how deep the water is under my kitchen floor but I am going to work on that sometime! All in all I found this a very easy to follow practical guide to such an ancient art.
