I believe that the author has successfully written a very readable introduction to a fascinating subject. If the cases reported in this book are true, and the underlying causes are due to interference from discrete spiritual entities, then our western world view regarding a possible spiritual reality must be seriously reviewed.
The author explores a range of case studies of inferred spiritual interference or possession. One criticism would be that there aren't any obvious guidelines on how to clear oneself of any such unwanted intrusions (the author suggests that virtually every one of us comes under these influences at some time during our lives). Nevertheless, there is a very good chapter in the appendix that discusses living well and maintaining spiritual hygiene as a basic method of self-protection.
Very readable and extremely interesting - to be read with a critical, though open mind.
