Never having studied Chinese medicine before I found this book to be highly informative and insightful in its broad and ever-practical scope. Not just as a source of information on the subject itself but also as a general manual on health and well-being, this book is an excellent reference point for any student of martial arts or holistic medicine, or indeed for anyone who believes in the possibility for better functioning as a human being - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I would highly recommend it both to the ignorant and informed. I fail to see how one could not derive great (and unexpected) benefit from this book.
 Worth buying just for the breathing techniques November 14, 2001

The techniques explained in this book are not for newcomers to Chi Nei Tsang, however, the breathing techniques and other background information regarding treatment is excellent.
