this is a very good book in many aspects; it is well written to give a friendly tone to a clear introduction and detailed knowledge of the chakra, which made it very easy for those with limited knowledge to get into. It also includes a variety of methods used to balance or heal the chakra so anyone can find one that suits them: crystal healing, a form of yoga, afirmation and daily questions. There's also charts of correspondancies, as well as coloured pages and images that help give the feel of the chakra just looking at the page! On the whole, a very well rounded book that gives a lot of detail in a kind, easy to pick up way. i would definatly recomend this book as a starting block to those who dont have any knowledge and need a dirrection to start looking for it. Being pagan, i also find this very aligned with my religeous concepts

I was inspired to read this book by a lady from Pakistan who introduced me to Chakras and their association with complementary therapies. I would recommend it to any beginner. It is colourful and easy to read, relating the seven Chakras to crystals, exercise, meditation and self development.Each Chakra is described in depth.
It is a spiritual book which will be a tonic to anyone who is fed-up with the shallow materialistic environment we endure today. The author relates the contents to real life case studies making it useful for the practitioner. If you are looking for a quick, but thorough introduction to Chakras I recommend this text. It is one of the most enjoyable and inspiring books I've read.

I found this book a joy to read and use. It is beautifully illustrated, very informative, so easy to use and understand and each section is coloured accordingly. It gives lots of information and numerous methods of healing. This book is so lovely to look at inside that you feel relaxed instantly, and it actually makes you want to read it and to use it. I have bought numerous books on Chakra Healing and not found any of them interesting enough to actually read, let alone use. I must say if i had bought this one first, then it would be the only one i would own.

Quite alot of us are not `in touch` with our inner sense. This part of us which infallibly knows what is best for us. When we be are `out of touch` with our inner sense - the result is disharmony, which starts on the subtle levels of the body -"the energy body". Then later if this is not addressed, it manifests as illness or dis-ease in the physical body. I think this book is very good for explaining the laws relating to the energy body (subtle body) and it`s system of energy vortices, "The Chakra System". I work with the Chakra System alot with clients in balancing mind, body and spirit. This book is a great addition to anyones`s collection as it offers ways of re-tuning and balancing the Chakras and bringing a healing harmony in your energy body which you can learn to do on your own on lots of levels. The colour illustrations are wonderful too! Liz has included a range of techniques and help in this book for this purpose. Many of them I use regularly in my practice. I particularly enjoyed her use of crystals, essential oils, ritual and visualisation as well to bring the book right up to date with Chakra Healing.
