3 out of 5 stars Some good recipes that are easy to do at home   December 21, 2008
Travel Queen
I bought this based on the reviews and I didn't want to buy something that required me to get dozens of weird and wonderful ingredients to make. Some of the recipes were great, i could make them straight away, but 25% of them required a trip to the supermarket and specialist stores to stock up, so not quite as an "express" as I had hoped.

4 out of 5 stars Interesting food for all occasions   December 14, 2008

I like that the food Nigella presents is not limited to a type of meals. Too often "Express" cooking book focus on lunch or dinner. Her book give us options for all occasions, from breakfast to entertaining. It is great and it tastes great!

5 out of 5 stars Quite amazing   December 13, 2008
Sam Wise (UK)
I have been delighted with this book. There are a huge number of well thought out recipes inside. Without compromising on the quality of the food (it really is excellent) - Nigella has produced recipes that can in some cases be knocked up within fifteen minutes.

You can expect, for the most part, food that is several cuts above a weekday meal. However, there are also many wonderful starters, mains and desserts which would delight dinner-party guests. I cannot recommend this highly enough, why slave for hours aspiring to perfection when you can achieve the same result in thirty minutes?

5 out of 5 stars A great book   December 3, 2008

I received it yesterday and I'm impressed! There are a lot of very simple, clearly and traceable recipes with beautiful pictures in it. I love all of them. I'm looking forward to cook something from it.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic Cooking   December 1, 2008
Mrs. G. Huckle
This is my first Nigella book and certainly won't be my last. My idea of a ready meal is something I've cooked and put in the freezer or something that is quick and simple. Try the Lamb Tagine - my lamb hating daughter loves this and it's so simple. The rocky mountain bars are fab and so easy. I am definitely a Nigella fan - keep up the good work.
