Help is Out There - Don't Give Up December 25, 2008 Mr. David A. Scott (UK) As a sufferer of mental illness to varying degrees for over 15 years it is inspriational to read a book which offers a lifeline and potential freedom from depression, anxiety, and stress. What comes across most is that most of the advice is accessible and a lot of which is self administered. Nothing is easy but at least there is a path that offers hope outside of medication and talk therapies which only scratched the surface for me and did not take away the isolation. The book has inpsired me and given me inner confidence from just reading it. The journey starts today. The best Christmas present ever. Thank you Dr David.
I'm recommending this to all my coaching clients September 1, 2008 J. Scott (Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, UK) I cannot recommend this book enough! Aside from the fact that I have found it personally life-changing (the simple heart-brain breathing exercise in the first chapter is worth many times the cost of the book on its own), I have, in the past few months, recommended it to many of my life coaching clients. They have all been delighted with it too.
Everyone should read this book, whether depressed or not! April 14, 2008 Ms. R. A. Brown (London) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a brilliant book. The balance of advice is excellent, from medical to common sense to alternative therapies, this man has a really sound outlook on life. It's not just psychological advice either ~ the chapters about doing voluntary work, exercise and nutrition are very helpful too and are important factors often forgotten by people looking for more complicated answers. It confirmed some ideas I'd read elsewhere and gave me new ideas also. If you're wavering about whether to buy this book or not, don't hesitate, buy it! It's well worth the money and time to invest in your wellbeing and life.

Exceptional. A colossus who bestrides both Eastern and Western medicine. This sort of thing the world needs in more than one area. Now's the time. As the great Rabbi Burns* was wont to remark (to many a maiden), If not now, when? *Author of 'A Wumman's a Wumman for A' That'

I think this book is a must for every adult reader. If everyone read it and used the self-help tools inside its covers, then the world would be a happier place - and they would feel happier too.
