1 out of 5 stars A waste of money and paper   August 16, 2008

This book is awful. Dana Carpender feels in necessary to add artificial sweeteners to recipes that do not require sweetening. Low calorie is one thing but when the fat content is so high you might as well not bother. The book is also quite focused on vast reduction of carbs which in my experience does not make you feel great in the long run. The recipes in the book are in my opinion like many fad diets that are not practical to maintain in the long run.

If you want low calorie, low fat recipes that are easy and tasty avoid this book.

Other authors such as Carolyn Humphries that have books that will change the way you eat and make you feel healthy and satisfied.

It hard to put into words just how poor this book, but the only recommendation I would give it is that it could burn well and make a nice log for the fire.
