5 out of 5 stars Love this...   December 28, 2008
Ms. K. Hobson
I am a dedicated gym addict so am already pretty fit!!! However, I am in my final year at uni and sometimes find it difficult to get to the gym so bought the box set in order to be able to at least still get 60min workout a day without having to leave the house.

I think that the power of 3 workout is the better of the two DVD's but I do like to alternate between them both. You can definitely feel the benefits...just as good as a gym workout. I can always feel it the day after...and the minute intervals between the toning sections for the legs/arms/stomach do work up a sweat if you put the required effort into it!!!

Definitely buy this one...it works it really does...I dont need to lose weight but it really does tighten up those muscles and has made me much more toned and firm.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic buy, even for fitness phobes (like I used to be)   December 8, 2008

I bought these DVDs after getting slowly into exercise with "easier" fitness buys- namely the also quite good Joanna Hall DVDs. I thought I'd step it up a notch with these, and they've been fabulous. I've done the workouts fairly regularly, I'd say min 3times/week to 5 or 6 weekly, and they are very, very good. Well constructed, entertaining enough to not get boring, good exercises, I love the interval bits that usually come in at exactly the right time- and also, very flexible. This is the real plus; there is no need to faff about with constructing your own workout, they really have thought things through in terms of adaptable structure. And the "easy" options (you get them demonstrated several times in both DVDs) come in handy if, like me, you are healing from a foot injury and can't do the jumping- there is always another option to choose. And finally, after starting the program of first Joanna Hall, then Davina, I have managed to lose one size of jeans, something that had not happened in YEARS!! I would definitely recommend this, easily the best fitness DVDs I have tried (and I am a bit of a fitness phobe- so the quality of a DVD I have to sometimes force myself to do is a real factor in my motivation). Great buy!

this is by far the best workout dvd i have ever bought. in just 2 weeks i have toned up have more energy and feel loads better. the box set is good value for money and allows a change between workout types. i would recommend this to anyone who wants to change their shape particulary after having children. i have found it fun and encouraging.

5 out of 5 stars Great   September 21, 2008

The 30 minute workouts are great. I used to find that can't cope with more than 30 minutes exercise at a time, as I get bored and that makes me not start in the first place. HOwever because this is only 30 minutes, I am sooo much more likely to do it as it doesn't feel so long and seems to go quickly. The moves are even suitable for doing in in a small-ish sitting room. If you're not up for jumping up and down then you can do the Core Strength work out. I haven't tried the other DVD yet because the 3 30 minute workouts is so good, but my sister recommends it! Very do-able excercises. Go on, get it.

4 out of 5 stars Excellent if you're short on time   September 16, 2008
Ms. L. C. Paine (Newquay, UK)
This DVD is broken into 3 x 30 minute sections which all incorporate a warm up and cool down period. You can choose to do one, two, or all three sections if you wish. I tend to do the first section 'The Pump' (as I find that the most challenging) if I'm short on time and then for days when I have an hour or more, I'll do Davina's High Energy Five DVD combined with Ministry of Sounds Pump it up DVD (which has a much more interesting warm up and aerobics section but isn't as good as Davina for toning)If you're not very fit (like me)the first time you do 'The Pump', I guarantee walking down stairs will be very painful for a few days afterwards, thankfully after a while, it does get easier.
