great value for money January 2, 2009 S. Checkley (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had an old pair of Sony inner ear headphones for about 5 years. I tend to use them until they wear out and these had almost disintegrated. The EP-830s was like being blasted from a gramaphone to a super club. The bass is outrageous and the general sound quality is excellent. Higher range audio can be a bit ropey, but if you listen to deep tone or bass pounding music they are great. The build quality feels a bit flimsy but you get a carry pouch to keep them in. I would put money on them not surviving the abuse I gave my Sony set over the years, but take care of them and you have an outstanding pair of head phones for the money. You also get 3 different sizes of buds for them for a comfortable fit. Rock on.
Blast out beats with this bassy mofo December 18, 2008 Mr. Robert N. Weitz (Bristol, UK) 1 out of 9 found this review helpful
First off, I haven't bought this Item...yet, but i can tell that they are the dogs balls, A) because of my review, B) because of the ultimate Bass feature which blocks out any background diggidy bashment waste noise.
be careful how you handle them December 13, 2008 Mr. D. Anderson (gy england) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
got these earphones with my creative zen 8gb x-fi mp3 player like most of the reviews they sound very clear but the bass isnt very strong compared to other earphones ive used you get 3 different sized earbuds which are very comfortable even after quite a few hours of use they never fall out the lead is about 1 metre long i used a small clip to fasten the earphone lead to my shirt or jacket and i never got any of the noise that people say they do emanating from the cable moving about when you are walking with them on they are a fantastic price ive only given 3 stars as one of the earphones started to get quieter after only 2 months of use until no sound at all it must of happend one time i was fitting the earphones into my ears and loosened the earphone cable some how so just be careful not to be to heavy handed fitting them into your ears
Good but not perfect. December 11, 2008 Benjamin Saunders 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these for my old Zen Vision M and on first impressions they look very impressive, the style is sleek, the build is solid and the cable is easily long enough. But and this is the main problem: the BASS isn't the greatest, it's good and you can hear it also the deep end 'is' visible, but it lacks good old fasioned clout, that said though the overall sound is very good and treble is spot on (not to tinny), mids (vocals and guitar are crisp and well defined and the deep bass stands out fairly well at high volumes. Bottom line, if your looking for quality sound with clarity above all, then buy these, but if you want more furious bass then these arent for you, invest in some 16mm sony accoustic twin turbo's.
Great earphones, weak bass December 10, 2008 J. Hicks (Bristol, England) Excellent build quality, nice, crisp sound, and good fit. However, if you are a fan of music which relies on a deep bassline, go for something else. When fitted properly they give ok bass, but if you like it loud then you would be better off with the EP-630's. If you are not too bothered about heavy bass then you will not be dissapointed.
