Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars threads too shallow   September 7, 2008
Daniel L. Soper (UK)
While I'm sure this filter does what it's supposed to do (i.e. protect the camera lens from dirt - does anyone use "UV" filters to block UV light?), the threads are too shallow.

The rear thread is barely a single turn, which might be enough to hold the filter on to the camera.

The front thread may be a little deeper, but is still not deep enough to get the camera's lens cap on top. I had to buy a different lens cap.

Ultimately, however, I stopped using this filter becuase I changed my camera for a DSLR, and it just so happens that none of the new camera's lenses have a 55mm thread.
