5 out of 5 stars Good Camera   January 3, 2009

Easy to use even without reading the manual, great photos, very handy to carry in my pockets when I am going out clubbing. I just love it.

5 out of 5 stars A Sexy Little Thing   January 2, 2009

It seriously is! Got this the other day and wow! Was going to go for a LUMIX but to be honest, the way they've been put together just looks shoddy to me.
This beauty on the other-hand has everything you would expect from a CANON camera; it looks, feels and is solid, pictures are clear and crisp and the features like face-detection work a treat.
Some may lift their noses at the fact that it's only 8MP but for the price, size (it's so small!) and a lovely bright 2 " screen, you can't go wrong with this I reckon.
I'll be recommending!

5 out of 5 stars Very clear pictures and great zoom   December 28, 2008

I bought this camera for diving as the review for both the camera and case were excellent. It takes very good pictures, is compact and looks great. The flash is brilliant and I can't wait to take it underwater to see how it performs there.

1 out of 5 stars Faulty Screen   December 27, 2008

I have had my camera for a little over a year and had been pretty pleased with it until for no apparent reason the screen packed up. I thought I would take it in to a local Canon sevice centre only to find out that the closest ones are over 150 miles away. Its not as if I live in the Orkneys. Very poor customer service in my opinion.

Would I recommend this camera? No. Would I buy Canon again? Most definitely not. An expensive mistake I won't be repeating.

4 out of 5 stars Great product for price but one big problem - red eye   December 20, 2008

I bought this camera 2 months ago and since then I have had the opportunity to take numerous shots in various conditions.
The results in daylight are very good as with Canon cameras. For the price you pay, this is a very good camera but unfortunately, in low light conditions, red eye becomes a major problem. It is even worse with the red eye reduction flash on, so I am not impressed with that feature. I now have to purchase a red eye removal software as the free downloadable ones are not as quick to use, but at USD30, it is worth buying otherwise all my photos are ruined because of the red eye problem with this camera.

Before this camera, I had the Casio Exilim Z700 and the Canon Ixus 5, but I never had to edit any images prior to printing due to the red eye problem, so it is a little disappointing to have this problem now with this otherwise nice little camera - I hope this will be helpful to potential buyers.
