The C-MP DVR series of 4, 8 & 16 channel MPEG4 Pentaplex DVRs combine the latest compression technology with a simple user interface. The units come with a built-in DVD-RW and HDD providing storage of up to 500GB.The Pentaplex function (Pentaplex means view, record, archive locally, view and record remotely)* allows the operator to view live information & playback information on the same display whilst backing up a previous event. During this time the record process is uninterrupted and an additional operator could be viewing via the network connection.The MPEG4 compression allows the DVR to achieve maximum recording efficiency for the available hard disk drive. Space is extended when compared to other compression techniques. The recording function can be programmed for continuous, alarm or motion recording. Additionally these recordings can be scheduled to start and stop and different parts of the day. Event backup is done via the built in DVD Writer.
