The Ion VCR2PC lets you transfer those musty old VHS tapes to digital loveliness via USB and your PC. The Ion VCR2PC combines a standard VHS video cassette player with a USB port to let you transfer your old VHS video tapes to shiny new computer ready digital format. Just plug the device into your computer, put in a tape and hit play. It comes with the very useful Muvee AutoProducer software for converting and burning your footage to MP4 Player, DVD or other digital media. It will even let you import and transfer your old camcorder footage via the front socket so you can play it on your MP4 Player or computer.

I got this unit from Maplins a week ago, I got Maplins to collect it 3 days later. Its useless! not only did the pictures jump around, the tracking buttons did not help, there is no help from the sheet of paper that I got with the unit or any other help from Ion, the worst of all is that when I played the video tapes on my original VCR player it developed a permanent noise on all my tapes!!!! Complete rubbish! Avoid!!!!

I am disappointed with this machine. The DVDs produced are poor quality and jumpy. The instructions such as they are, are useless and there is no troubleshooting help. This is not a simple plug and play. Silly me for not keeping the box, at least I could have flogged it on ebay!

Purchased this item. I can't tell if its any good though because I can't get the drivers to load have e-mailed Ion customer services 4 times after the third email I had one reply asking for more information, now they have gone back to ignoring me.
