Amazon.co.uk Review:
In a nutshell: Start a new life on your DS with the most unlikely source of online addiction you’ve ever experienced. You’ve complete freedom to customise your home and the town around it as you socialise with the locals and your friends alike. The lowdown: The world of Animal Crossing seems a peculiarly simple one at first: there are no levels to be beaten or bad guys to overcome, just a cheerful little village to maintain, as you water flowers, catch fish and dig for fossils. But before you know it the game has its hooks in you, as you meet friends via the Wi-Fi Network Connection to chat and compete or start playing the turnip stock market. With over 600 different pieces of furniture to collect the game has a near infinite lifetime and by running in real-time with special events all through the year you’ll find yourself checking in daily with what’s going on around town. Most exciting moment: Winning a fishing competition against three friends and rubbing their noses in it via the online chat. Since you ask: The first Animal Crossing game was actually released on the N64 in Japan – the GameCube version was a slightly enhanced version of this. The bottom line: Live the life idyllic on your DS with the best use of the Wi-Fi Network Connection yet. HARRISON DENT
Product Description Animal Crossing goes mobile! Venture into a virtual village, where you can decorate your house, go for a spot of fishing or just shoot the breeze with your fellow animal residents!

my 7 year old is smitten! January 7, 2009 Mrs. J. Wallis (herts, uk) I bought this for my 7 year old for christmas, and she has played it none stop ever since. There is always something new to do, a great game that gives excellent value for money.
BRILLIANT! January 2, 2009 You create up to 4 characters and walk around the place trying to avoid cracks in the ground, you talk to people and go to places. What I really enjoyed was going into museums to view tombs, dinosaur fossils and animal skeletons, which were very realistic.
Fun in small packages December 29, 2008 Helen (UK) I am an "older gamer" being over 25 and thoroughly enjoy this game. It can get a bit boring when you have nothing else left to do in the town until the next day, but this is when you work at your fishing skills, or shake trees, or even plant them! I like that I can sporadically turn it on and have fun with it, and then turn it off and come back to it and its moved on in time. The world keeps going even when you turn it off (so to speak). The game gets more and more interesting as you play it longer, but it doesn't change format. If you don't like the format from the beginning then you won't like it after weeks of playing either. Personally, I enjoy Runescape and other online games so this game is entertaining for me.
I can play this for hours! December 20, 2008 L. Ainscow (At the computer, UK) i bought this game, originally just to play on the plane journey, of which was 2hours as i heard it was better played in short bursts; but i was hooked all week!! Sadly enough i found myself going on it before i went to bed, for about an hour or so, trying to collect money to pay of for my 2nd, bigger house. Its totally awsome! id definetly reccomend!
Animal crossing, review. December 3, 2008 C. mayer (Stafford) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product a while since, I found the game very pratical at the start. But once i had played it a numorous amount of time's it became to repetative, there is'nt much life in the game. But younger ages e.g 7-10 Yr's would very mcuh enjoy this game, I at the age of 13 found it a game that i would play if i happened to be bored. But overall i would'nt reccomend it to above 12's, i do happen to reccomend it to people who enjoy creating thing's Here is a few thing's that you can take part in: *Build your own house, but at the cost of bell's; Animal crossing money. *Do active thing's i.e fishing, catching nature. And more etc etc. One thing I happened to really enjoy is the fact you can invite anyone from other towns including friends who have nintendo's near by. Thankyou for reading my review I hope you find it usefull with your purchase.
