Product Description
Enrol at the Big Brain Academy for the ultimate mental exercise regime. Find out how fast you can think; test your ability for logical thought; and turn that dull daily train journey into an intellectual keep-fit session. With Big Brain Academy, you can have fun while giving your brain a rigorous workout, playing across a series of mini-games designed to stimulate your mind. You can practice the challenges, go straight for the test, or even take on your friends. Test yourself across five categories: Think, Memorise, Analyse, Compute and Identify. Each category offers three different types of game, adding up to 15 different kinds of brainteasers - and there are three different difficulty settings to push your cranial power. Whether you're calculating the number of cubes contained within a structure, identifying quick-fire images or solving simple yet fast-paced maths problems, Big Brain Academy really gets the old grey matter working! Answer questions as quickly as possible against a 60 second time limit, and discover just how your brain measures up, as the friendly Dr. Lobe gives you the results of your performance.

2 out of 5 stars Wish I had read the reviews before I bought it.   January 4, 2009

I bought this game yesterday (not off amazon). It is not challenging and incredibly tedious due to the lack of variety it provides. I don't believe this game could occupy a child for long. Don't buy it, I'm trading it in tomorrow.

5 out of 5 stars Fun for all   December 30, 2008

I would like to say not only is it challenging and fun by yourself, when you link another ds and play with someone it gets really competative not only to complete the task but to do it quicker then the other person.
And if you lose the challenge you can choose your stronger task and level to beat them, which you never know if it's their weakness or not. All round fun.

4 out of 5 stars Fun for kids and adults, colourful and addictive.   November 27, 2008

So many brain games out there to choose from but this one for my family is the best.

Always found Dr Kawashima's Brain Training to be a little dull and plain, that annoying little man in spectacles and only one result (your brain age) for all that work - the games are too simple and black and white.

Big Brain Academy is fun, lots of games at different levels earning medals and then the five areas totalled together to give a school like score - my 8 year old daughter has a C-, I have a C+ and the wife an A+.

This is bright and fun, addictive for all! Buy it!

4 out of 5 stars Nice Game!   November 22, 2008

Good Game,
There is some hard puzzles in there to do! Except the only problem is..How can a Fashion Designer be better than a Calculator? My faveourite game on it has got to be the matching pairs game and also the compute section. Good game, I recomend it!

4 out of 5 stars A really fun game!   July 31, 2008

This game is suitable for all ages - and by that I do mean adults and children. We all play this game and compete head to head, which is really fun for everyone. There are lots of different mini games (15, I think!) which are split into 5 categories. In practice mode you can pick any game and you then get given a bronze, silver or gold signifying how well you have done. In test mode, you are given a random game from each category and then you are given a grade on how well you have done. Would definitely recommend this for unlimited fun!
