I feel sorry for the reviewer whos broken 2 of these,i bought a core xbox360 on first day of release,and it came with a wired controller.
It still works perfectly and ive used it alot,only thing thats changed is the rubber ontop of the sticks has worn away,very solid, and a good length of cable.if you dont wanna worry about charging up or batteries,then its perfect.

The console overall is fun to play but these controllers are poorly designed (Wired ones). I've already had two problems
1. The wire breaks easily and about after 6 months it stopped working
2. detachable usb wire is really annoying I can get lost easily that's 2 unusable controllers
Get wireless instead

This product is excellent for simple people like me who always forget to charge their batteries for their wireless controller. You just plug it into the USB of your 360 and it works like a wireless controller- only with a wire and no need to recharge.
The cord is also very long, so unless you want to play your game from the other side of your house, it doesn't impede gameplay. In fact, for people more used to wired controllers, it's better.
If you're having problems with your wireless controller- get this. It's the perfect substitute.
