DS Scrabble Review July 6, 2008 Ricardo (London, England) An excellent game. I've been playing scrabble on facebook and bought this as a game to take on holiday for long flight entertainment. I didn't think it would be as good as it is, as it's hard to imagine playing against a computer but it's easy to play and challenging. There could be a few more levels of competence, but as you can play one off games against all levels there is plenty of gameplay. Anyone who can complete the career mode is a genius!
Fun game May 28, 2008 Ms. F. H. Croton (London) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I'm a great fan of Scrabble and am enjoying this version; however I do agree that having to play the mini games to add more characters is irritating and some of the words are so strange that I've wondered if my DS has gone wrong!
Addictive May 28, 2008 Rachelle (London, UK) I am so addicted to this game! You gradually face tougher and tougher players, but I have been unable to get very far with the timed game. The mini games are also a lot of fun, particularly Puzzeletters.
Pretty good for passing some time except..... April 25, 2008 Fingerbar Fiddleston (Underground) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The main problem with this game, and it's a big problem, is that there's no multiplayer mode apart from wireless. This means if you are on holiday and you want to, for example, play a game with your wife using the DS - you can't. Unless she has one - which she doesn't. If you only have one DS then you have to play the virtual players. This really does take quite a bit of the fun out of playing a game like Scrabble. Very poor - there's really no reason why they couldn't have included this feature......
Cheating dictionary April 25, 2008 Heather Eeles 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The play is great, the only fault is with the questionable words that the ds allows for the electronic players whilst disallowing some of my "normal" offerings. Also if the electronic player is in-filling with short words, I am sure that the software is not checking all the words made. It only shows one definition on the screen even if two or three words have been created. I tried to use one of the two letter words that had been allowed for my opponent and it chucked it out. But overall, very addictive, I wouldn't give it back!
