G'Day Mate July 13, 2008 Mrs. Dawnc Alexandre (Jersey (CI)) Ty The Tasmanian Tiger is a brand new saga featuring Ty who is a Tasmanian Tiger, as the title of the game says. Ty is from Australia and his accent more or less Australian. Ty The Tasmanian Tiger is part of the cartoon fiction characters and has known to become part of the Crash Bandicoot, Spyro The Dragon, Sonic The Hedgehog, Mario collection! The story goes in which long ago a battle was fought over the fate of five mystic Talismans between Boss Cass and a family of Tasmania Tigers. Boss Cass managed to trap all Thylacines in the Dreamtime by using these, although the portal was destroyed and the talismans got scattered thanks to one of Tasmanians throwing his boomerang to dislodge the talismans. A family of Bilbies adopted the apparent last Thylacine left behind. Years later, a Bunyip informs Ty about his heritage and Boss Cass. Ty sets out to find the Talismans before Cass to rescue his family and save the race of mammals! The game is similar to games such as Super Mario Sunshine, in which the character goes into an unlocked world and has to gather a certain item by beating a mission. Although it is a setting in which you usually are giving a key mission and there are side missions along the way. Picking up the game play and understanding the game is basically simple and doesn't need too many thoughts to understand! Ty's main weaponry is a set of Boomerangs, by pressing the fire button, Ty will launch Boomerangs that can hit and take down enemies and obstacles, more or less in a single hit. His boomerangs can also come in handy with other certain things, including gliding in the air for periods of time! Also, Ty can use his fangs to Bite enemies and crates and other obstacles! Ty The Tasmanian Tiger puts on a really good adventure which may let you come back for more, but sometimes locating some secret items, especially the Pictures can be intense to find. I had to come to a part where I had to enter a cheat in the game to allow me to find all the secret hidden Cogs, Orbs, Pictures and other items! My Personal Game Score: 7.5/10: Great, Entertaining, Challenging My Wish: I wish that instead of the secret pictures were revealed in a box rather than hidden, as this would be that would make them far easier to locate! Final Comments: In the end, if you are bored with Crash, Spyro and you need you like to have a game that lets you have a break from them, I recommend getting Ty The Tasmanian Tiger. Fun for all age's and perfect for the Playstation 2, XBox or Nintendo Gamcube. Although, the only disadvantage is I believe this character may not have a future! Review By Captain Chris Kipper

Ty is a Tasmanian Tiger trying to rescue his fellow tigers. I think this game has brilliant gameplay and a great story line. If you are looing for a game in 2004... This is the one!

Ty is quite possibly one of the best Gamecube games I've ever played! The graphics are absolutely spot-on, and the dialogue, well...having a few Oz relatives myself, I can say it's impeccable! If you want a game that is just all around fun with a few challenges thrown in, buy Ty!
An understandable approach with an abysmal outcome January 7, 2003 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
Basically it's about a Tiger who has to go on an "adventure" to save his family. To be blunt, it's awful. I've played it for about half an hour and that's it. The controls are awful and the dodgy camera angles put you off as well. The graphics aren't all that either. I thought it looked good, plus people said that it was alright, but underneath its clothing is something extremely boring, dull, frustrating and I regret ever purchasing it... Absolutely abysmal.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is a sweet little platform game in which you power the Australian mammal through various environments to find five talismans. However, despite having incredible graphics, this game is short-lived and quite frankly easy. A meagre 11 proper levels and a "final battle" which is just as easy as the rest of the game mean this game is over before it's even begun. A shame, as it had potential.
