I felt there was enough chips for four ,timer isnt as low as people are saying i can hear it no problem, i have recommended to friends as its so good.
Great, until it blew up. December 20, 2008 Scott Dean (Lincolnshire, UK.) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
We knew nothing about this product, but needed a fryer. When we saw it we thought it was way over-priced, but given its potential we decided to give it a go. It worked brilliantly for about three weeks, being used only once for each of those weeks. However, when cooking up a small amount of chipped potato last week it literally went bang! The fan blew itself up but the power remained entact, and it was still heating up and the timer was counting down. If I had not been in the kitchen at the time, I shudder to think what could have happened. So, brilliant, if it worked. But the risks involved with it burning down my house are too apparent, so my advice is give this one a very wide berth. Oh, we missed the Watchdog report and bought this two days after this show was aired. My opinion: Remove it from sale, the potential to cause harm is too great.
Good in parts December 2, 2008 Ascylto (Manchester, UK) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
It does what it says on the tin! The chips are wonderful. You can do all sorts of food in it. It trades on the 'only one spoonful of oil' appeal to weight-watchers but that's largely a myth. I don't find the noise irritating. The bad points ... the alarm for the end of cooking is unbelievably quiet. You can barely hear it if stood next to it. The machine continues cooking beyond the timer ... a nasty and inherently dangerous trait. If they sorted out the timer I'd add a couple of stars.
Brilliant kitchen gadget November 24, 2008 Mr. V. Yule (Merseyside, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was doubtful when I first saw this, but having spent nearly a year using it at least once a week I wouldn't be without this now. We mainly use it for chips/wedges (adding spices) and roast potatoes (with onions or carrots and parsnips). Everything is turned and cooked evenly. On the first one, we snapped one of the clips on the lid so got it replaced and are a bit more careful now. Despite this one weakness, I still highly recommend this to my friends.

Had two now, found food to be excellent potatoes, vegatables, meat in all forms, but will not buy another one due to them both breaking on the catches for the lid, same fault both times!!!!!!!!
