What a beauty. November 28, 2008 Mrs. M. P. Nicholls (UK) I thought long and hard after reading the reviews about this product.I need not have worried. Just what I have been looking for.Brilliant, easy to use, easy to clean and for what it cost how could I find a downside there just isnt one.Great little machine.
Great machine, great value, dont believe what you read September 18, 2008 L. clarke (UK) and I love coffee. I must admit the first one we got didnt boil the water so went straight back with it, ive read since there has been a problem. However no complaints about this one, the first one I tried was a mugsize, I have large mugs and it fills it to the top so be careful, a normal sized mug wouldnt do. It came out boiling hot but no room for milk so sipped a bit out to fit it in, perfect, lovely tasting coffee with a frothy top. Ive only had it a week but using it twice a day at least, I now use the cup size, put the milk in the micro for 20 seconds as I prefer it that way and use a smaller mug. I do set it on a cup setting first with just water but thats because I prefer to make sure its clean [my problem] I havent tried any other makes of coffee as I havent seen any, cant find cappuccino anywhere here yet. Overall a great machine, 2.42 for 20 mugsize pods which I think is great value for a decent cup of coffee. I reviewed it alot and was a bit put off but took the view of 2 friends instead, I dont regret it at all, Love it!

Phillips Senseo HD7814 Black Fed up of boring instant coffee ? This is the machine for you ! Makes a hot cup or mug of delicious coffee in no time. I'd thought about buying one of these machines for a long time, now I am kicking myself for waiting. I only have 3 complaints about it. 1) Would it have killed the maker to have put some pods in with the machine ? 2) A bigger water reservoir would have been better, as I keep having to refill the one provided ! 3) I got addicted to the coffee it makes! There are a whole range of different pods available in Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsburys, and even more online. Definetly one of my better buys.
Easy to use, but that's it April 13, 2008 N. Davies 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Senseo is well made, well built and well designed. It does what it's supposed to do and reduces coffee making to a very simple process. Trouble is, the end result is that it produces *something* - just not coffee as I know it... The servings are tiny, in fact I was hard pushed to find a mug that would fit under the nozzle. The coffee is watery and lukewarm, and you're basically restricted to the mediocre coffee pods that Philips and Dowe Egberts 'allow' you to use. In order to get a full mug of decent strength coffee you have to use two pods. The 'cream head' they claim you can get with this? Not crema by any stretch of the imagination. To give the senseo a second chance, I tried it with one of those little coffee holders that you put your own coffee in. The results were even worse, so I gave up and got myself a proper coffee maker. A bit more doing and cleaning involved, but infinitely better coffee.
Fab quick coffee January 22, 2008 Julia lynch (Essex,UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This machine is great! It took a little time to prepare and longer to find the coffee pods that I like best but now it is FAB!! I made a few errors like putting the wrong pad holder in for a cup not a mug and managed all sorts of silly things like that, but hey I was hungover! Def. recommend this to everyone! -xx-
