Rubbish, buy a plastic one November 5, 2008 V. M. Offord (Argyll) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I installed this on smooth tiles around 5 months ago, no problem. It was positioned away from the shower, above the bath. One night recently it crashed into the bath, chipping the enamel. Not only will it not re-attach to the sticky pads, I've discovered that it is covered in rust, after only a few months of use away from direct contact with water. I am going to replace it with a much cheaper, plastic version and steer clear of the lock-system items in future.
I agree - not so smart loc! May 26, 2008 K. Pollard (uk) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
After trying several times to stick the unit in the corner of my shower, I called the manufacturer in Germany - as the "loc" would lock but then just fall of the tiles and this was before I had put anything on the shelves - the manufacturers were puzzled as to why it would not stick and very kindly, sent free of charge, a pack of sticky pads and 2 new "locs" - I thought great, there must have been a fault, but oh no, again they refused to lock tight and on the 4th time of it falling off the tiles, I got a tiny bit of super glue and the unit has stayed in place - good old super glue - not so good smart loc!!!

I bought several pcs of the Smart-Loc range and I am really fascinated, as they hold already for three month without any problems. The important thing to do when you like to fix one of the articles to the tile, mirror etc., is to put the lever before in a horizontal position and push the lever in this position against the surface you want to have the article sticked to. Only then put the lever in a vertical position.

The worst bathroom storage thing I have ever bought. I threw it out after using it for 1 day. Its crap!!! The Not-So-Smart-Loc system does not work!
