First class subject material September 18, 2008 Gary Bate (Birmingham, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Dispenza has done a first class job of explaining how our brains work, the role of consciousness and how the brain facilitates it, and the resultant effects upon the physiology and health of our bodies. Not a quick read because it's packed with relevant detail; but you'll enjoy it if you're interested in this field. Gary Bate author of 'We are here to know ourselves'
Curious August 4, 2008 Mr Anonymous (somewhere) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Hmm, bizarre one this. The science bit is really good. But then right at the end he starts talking about what you can do about it and it seems really incongrous as it's *right* at the back of the book, and in any case he doesn't offer much by way of useful advice - nothing I didn't know already and not particularly well explicated. That said, the actual science part is really good (or seems like it to me who knows nothing about brain science) and written in a very accessible manner. The only thing is there is no central premiss in the book interwoven throughout, hence it seems a bit bizarre and unstructured. Nevertheless, a good read IF you're interested in how the brain works and not that much if you want to do anything about it (for which I would recommend the work of Tony Robbins).
Amazing April 4, 2007 M. A. Morley (UK) 27 out of 29 found this review helpful
This is a great read just for the fun of it, Dispenza's story of self healing a broken back is amazing but without any bull & he shows the key elements of others who ahve done this too. This book also goes into great detail on how the mind brain & body work together from mainly a scientific viewpoint and how we can make changes to evlove our frontal lobes to quickly change bad patterns of behaviour & replace them with good. the advice is simple and achieveable by anyone who can read. Its not a short book as its crammed with lots of information but if you just wish to get to the nitty gritty of making changes its possible to skip the understanding and just work on the bits you need I hope he will write further books in the future
