Then if so, this CD could be for you. It's just over an hour long and split into two parts. The first is Louise talking (in her pleasant but overly-slowed down manner) about her theory of how thoughts and feelings affect the body. If you believe in the mind-body link then it's all sensible stuff, but seems slightly dated now things have moved on. There's a lot in there about the need to let go of fear and guilt, so if that's a particular problem for you, this may resonate.
The second half is a guided relaxaion session, with Louise giving a fairly short induction script, and then giving lots of positive messages. My difficulty with this is there is an assumption as to what the listener needs releasing from. I was fortunate to have a very stable, happy childhood, and so Louise telling me how I should let go of my unhappy memories when I had been left alone etc, really didn't work for me.
In summary, I think that if you are interested in the Louise's take on the mind-body connection, you'd probably get more detail by reading one of her books (if you are able to do that) or one of the more up to date texts on the subject. If you are looking for a guided meditation, there are much better ones around - Glenn Harrold springs to mind. However, if you've got some of the issues that I mentioned to deal with, then it might be worth a try.

On this helpful cassette CD, Louise Hay provides a powerful psychological tool for healing oneself. She explains the power of memory and emotion in the healing process; she talks about her own life, how she was abused as a child and how she overcame this trauma through the application of understanding and forgiveness. It also discusses the principles of personal transformation and contains a beautiful healing meditation that includes sections on how to forgive oneself and others, how to let go of negative thoughts and how to become the optimistic, joyful and created person that we were all meant to be. Hay has a powerful reassuring voice and her words exude confidence, insight and optimism. I highly recommend this CD to all who need psychological support in physical or mental healing. In my experience it has been most effective. Also listen to her tape Meditations For Personal Healing, a series of meditations that covers all the important aspects of life and Self-Esteem: Motivational Affirmations For Building Confidence and Recognizing Self-Worth.

This cd is one of the most calming and reassuring cds i've ever listened to. On the first track, Louise talks about her ideas on how we create illness or health in our bodies depending highly on our thoughts or state of mind. The second track is a lovely meditation which is at a relaxed paced and very soothing. I'd highly reccomend this cd to anyone, not just those who are suffering some ailment or another. Its just a wonderfully positive CD to listen to.
