Gordon Smith is known primarily as a medium, but on this CD he talks about his training as a healer, and how he uses healing in harmony with mediumship to heal grief simply and with great compassion. He explains what grief really is, and also talks about physical illness and healing too. Gordon uses stories from his extraordinary life to bring the subject alive, making it accessible to those who might be thinking of visiting a medium for the first time, in an attempt to heal their grief and find a way of moving on with their lives after a loss. He's so humble in the way he talks, and his dedication to helping others is obvious. For people who are developing their own mediumship, like me, he offers a lot of food for thought, and a refreshing new approach to being on a spiritual pathway, including a Buddhist perspective which is very interesting. The second CD, which is ideal to use in a spiritual circle, or equally as good on your own, has three meditations, to heal yourself, give absent healing, and send healing to the world. They are beautifully constructed - each one is about ten minutes long - and I found all three so relaxing and extremely inspirational to do. If you've never thought of sending healing to the world, I'm pretty sure this meditation will inspire you to do just that. Gordon speaks in a very down to earth, humourous, no-nonsense way, and what marks him out from other mediums is his integrity, humility and ability to see the world as it really is. The man is a gem.
