rubbish September 26, 2008 Mr. Russell C. Witheyman 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is rnb at its worse..bland style hip hop/rnb beats over a good singers voice..the boy can sing for sure but apart from "take you down" and "with you" the quality control on this album is appalingly bad. i was actually listening to some 70's and 80's rnb today and it reminded me of how bad some modern soul/rnb is these days..theres no melody or musicality to most of the tracks. With you is a great track though but this isnt great at all.
Surprisingly good! August 5, 2008 Sam (UK) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I really bought this product on the basis of 'No Air' and 'With You'-having liked his voice and on the strength of a friend's recommendation-despite the fact that this really isn't my genre of music and I did have qualms about buying it-but I took a chance and I'm so glad I did-this is a great album with many of the 20 tracks being absolutely brilliant-there's barely a filler in sight! 1.Throwed-I could not think of a better way to start the album; electronic and uptempo with great vocals. 9/10 2.Kiss Kiss-The repetetive chorus and thumping bass make this absolutely addictive! 9/10 3.Take You Down-Another great track, although not quite as memorable as some others. 7/10 4.With You-A brilliant and phenomenally sung ballad. 10/10 5.Picture Perfect-Takes a couple of listens, but this is an interesting and diverse track. 8/10 6.Hold Up-Another track which is addictive! 8/10 7.You-For me this is my personal fave! It's sooo catchy and I just love it. 10/10 8.Damage-From my favourite to probably my least favourite-I don't mind it, but its not as good as the others. 7/10 9.Wall To Wall-Repetetive, catchy and strong. 8/10 10.Help Me-Decent track, a little forgettable. 7/10 11.I Wanna Be-Another highlight for me-loving the almost whiny vocal. 9/10 12.Gimme Whatcha Got-This has single written all over it! 9/10 13.I'll Call Ya-This has grown on me so much. 8/10 14.Lottery-This is OK, but not a great track. 7/10 15.Nice-I expected slightly more from that track considering the producer, but it isn't bad. 8/10 16.Down-A nice track, which is up there with the best. 9/10 17.Fallen Angel-Changes style again and it works! 9/10 18.Forever-An electronified single. Fantastic! 10/10 19.Superhuman-A duet with powerful vocals-great! 9/10 20.Heart Ain't A Brain-Not one of the best, but a good way to finish. 8/10 Buy it-you WON'T be disappointed and thats a guarantee.
Brilliant! July 19, 2008 Mrs. W. Taylor 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Exclusive:the Forever Edition is a brilliant album from my favourite artist, Chris Brown. My favourite tracks are Throwed, Picture Perfect, I Wanna Be, Down, Forever and Superhuman. It's a must-have CD; I love it!
The best album of the year just got better July 18, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Chris Brown's album, 'Exclusive' is an amazing album. All of the songs are good and you definutly wouldnt be disapointed with the album. But now, chart topping hit 'Forever' has been added to the album, along with other bonus tracks to make it even better! The only thing that would make this album even better would be if 'No Air' by Chris and Jordin Sparks could be added!
