This is a great case, tough and it fits like a glove! Would recommend it to anyone who loves their macbook!
 Regular 15W" laptops will not fit inside October 30, 2008

Although the product is good, it is too small to fit a regular 15W" laptop. I could not fit my IBM Lenovo 15W". I need to buy another sleeve(Belkin) in which my laptop fits nicely inside. It is a pity. In the advert of the Crumpler 15W", it should state clearly that regular 15W" laptops will not fit inside.

I love the Crumpler brand - their bags and protective sleeves are probably the most efficient at protecting delicate gear available on teh market. This 17" sleeve is very padded and feels and looks sleek. It protects your laptop against scratches and accidental spills as well as looking smooth, smart and sleek.
However my only gripe with this sleeve is that its advertised as being suitable for a 17" Widescreen laptop - CHECK YOUR DIMENSIONS!!! I have the Toshiba Equium which is probably THE largest laptop ever produced. I have my doubts that this super beast even qualifies as a 'portable' product. It does fit into this protective sleeve but I have to literally force the thing in and as a result I've often just left one side unzipped. Saying that, the Gimp protective sleeve will stretch to infinity but if you want to purchase for a wide laptop, I would definitely check your dimensions first.

I was informed by the sellers of this particular product that it would fit a 15.4" screen easily, when actually it's a very tight fit and you need to struggle (spending too much time) having to literally force your laptop into the case.
Second, where the case has to be stretched, the product is more prone to damage and mine has in fact teared.
Third, it is waterproof and has protected my laptop to some extent.

Great design, well made and durable. Protects my 13 inch macbook from scratches and dust whilst in my bag. fits snugly. Highly recommended purchase.
