Not as the advertising November 14, 2008 Mrs. L. Mccormick (Alfreton, Derbyshire United Kingdom) I was disappointed with this Roller as it does not work like the advert shows, I have tried several times to use the roller and even on a flat wall the cover is not as shown on the tv also the "join" can leave a line it is also quite heavy even when only half full of paint. Would not recommend.
paint runner con November 12, 2008 steve b (scotland) biggest wast of time and money. takes an age for paint to come through. also an age to clean. better coverage with a normal roller.
Paint Runner - doesn't make the mark October 20, 2008 W. G. Crawley (England) I found the main Paint runner worked well until I came to sections of wall that were narrower than the runner such as across the top of a window or inside where perhaps only half the length of the paint runner was making contact with the wall. Most cases here, I found that the paint runner would not roll, but instead would slide. I fould this very irritating and in the end reverted to a brush to do these sections which I wouldn't have expected to do. The Edger I found a complete waste of time and didn't work at all. Following the guidlines of spinning the edger slowly first to ensure the paint is evened in the edger when rolling I found that the paint seemed to only come out of the edger at a single point thus a kind of tram mark was left by the edger approximately in the centre of the foam. Further the inside edge (plastic section Smaller edge), left marks on the wall, I found the edger totally unusable and only fit for the bin and again had to revert to paintbrush. I think the products need some refining for over 30 with postage and packing from Amazon I have to say I was disappointed with the product and will probably revert to a conventional roller. I certainly cannot recommend this product to anyone else in it's current form.
Complete waste of time and money September 12, 2008 A. Wright (Lancashire, UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This product is a complete waste of both time and money. I purchased one in order to decorate my very large hallway which has an extremely high ceiling. This is not the first time I have decorated this area so I knew it was a big job and hard work. Having seen so many ads for the Paint Runner that stated how easy it was to use, how little mess it made etc etc I decided to give it a try, after all anything that makes life easier is a good thing. It took more than ten minutes just to get the paint flowing through the foam roller before I could start trying to paint with it, and that was just using an ordinary emulsion paint, when I finally got it going I set off to start work on my hallway. The Paint Runner doesn't work well when used on ceilings, that was the first problem, it simply did not cover the old paint at all, so I thought I would give the walls a try, but this was no better so after struggling with this 'revolutionary' product for more than an hour I simply gave up. It is also hard to clean and uses literally gallons of water, so if you are on a water meter watch out! In the end it was simply too much trouble to use and clean so I did the best thing I had done all day with it, I packed it up in a bin liner and headed for the waste bin.

saw the advert, had just built a massive extension - thought this would save time - oh how wrong. The only way to get it to work is to really thin down the paint, the unit itself is quite heavy while your using it so my wife wasnt amused. Gave it up as a bad job should have sent it back but dont think it was a fault as such just a naff product.
