Product Description This fabulous new product by Jamie Oliver is aptly named the 'flavour shaker'. Comprising of three components, this handy gadget is ideal for making salad dressings, sauces and marinades. The shaker features a handy non-slip grip and a ceramic ball inside that crushes and grinds the ingredients as it is shaken. Made from toughened plastic, the flavour shaker is going to be this Christmas number 1 gadget.

Useless November 21, 2008 L. Turnbull (Arbroath, Scotland) This gadget is totally useless. There is an inadequate overlap on the screw top and consequently it leaks, or as happened to me comes loose when shaken, depositing its contents all over me and the kitchen. Don't buy this item!
What the heck is it ? November 20, 2008 Robbo (Stoke on Trent) Having lost the instructions, just thought it was time to find out what this really thoughtful 2007 Xmas present was supposed to do. After all I will need to let the kindly soul who gave it to me know how its performing before the magic day in December arrives again.(I accept that this aspect may need some embelishment.)For instance can I say that the turkey and trimmings would not have been the same without it ? or that the Xmas pud was done to a turn ? Dont panic I thought! read the reviews,-And must say, having got to the nub of the matter via all the kind and helpful comments - For which I thank you all,the answer is clear, I'll probably have to stick it back on the shelf for another year as a paperweight to hold down Delia's recipes. Merry Xmas Jamie!
Disappointed July 15, 2008 S. Bam (UK) i agree with most of the comments made....its a disappointed. It constantly leaks and it doesn't matter how hard you hold it together. I have used a small tub and it works alot better. Would not recommend this product to anyone!!!!!
Use a pestle & mortar June 26, 2008 Maplo (Essex, United Kingdom) My girlfriend got me this for Xmas 2006. It works OK, but is a pain to clean and/or get all the bits out to actually use them. This is especially true if you are mixing up your crushed herbs with, say, olive oil. Consequently, I have used it only a handful of times and always revert to my good old-fashioned pestle & mortar. I have always been quite a fan of Jamie Oliver, but The Flavour Shaker strikes me as a cheap commercial gimmick.
This product should be banned ! June 3, 2008 D. Buttery Please beware - the screw clips can break off and become hard shards of plastic which are nearly an inch long and very sharp! I bought this and then read the reviews - thus I have never tightened the jar nor even used the ball! After less than half a dozen uses (all of which leaked!), one of the four screw clips broke off and I only noticed it when I bit into into it whilst tasting my dressing! It's very sharp and I could be very harmful if swallowed. I am very angry and think the product should be removed from the shelves. Please, please do not buy one.
