Purchased at a good price, much cheaper than B+Q, to water plant pots while on hols for 2 weeks.
Did the job that was asked, easy to set up and fairly robust.
Would recommend.

I've had two of these for about 4 years and I've just bought a third to replace a more expensive unit that packed up. I've never had any problems with water ingress, so I've no idea why other reviewers have complained. The only limitation is that setting the start time is pretty basic. If you want it to start at 2 a.m., you have to rotate the dial to 'auto-start' at 2 a.m. On the other hand, it's an entry-level timer and good value for money. I use mine for about 8 months of the year and store them in the garage when it gets very cold. I change the batteries every 2 years. Recommended.

This hozelock was perfect for what we wanted a no nonsense watering system to use on a daily basis, once set just leave to water your plants. Great for anyone going away for long periods of time.

I was a bit wary when I purchased because previous reviews warned of water leakage into battery compartment which destroyed unit. I took the simple precaution of sealing the joint between the two halves of the unit with some black sticky tape used by plumbers/electricians - took a couple of minutes. I have subsequently used the unit every day since May this year including 3 week holiday and "it has done exactly what it says on the tin". I am very impressed and would recommend the product without hesitation. When I need to change the battery it will be a simple task to peel off the sticky tape, insert new battery and retape. An excellent product for the price!

Comes on and waters as set for once twice 4 times in 24 hours for set periods of time.
Simple to set. I set this up with a water butt and irrigation piping for a greenhouse, arguably not enough water drips through the irrigation drippers in time to flood the toms. the way I have it set up but should give enough to keep plants alive if you forget to water, go on holiday etc, but that's more to do with the irrigation drippers. I err on the side of caution and wouldn't leave a mains water attached to a device like this while I am away in case my piping fails the garage gets flooded!
