Product Description Relive the halcyon days of one's youth, spent on the back seat of the bus, not with some teenage damsel on one's arm - but with Nintendo in hand, of course. And we're not talking Wii. Admit it, the happiest days of your life were spent plugged in to some tiny 80s or 90s gadget playing games in which one had to fetch plumbing supplies, collect bananas or avoid ghosts. Simultaneous equations, girls, music and the rest could all wait. The means by which all this teenage timewarping can be achieved? A fully realistic 1/32 scale model of your favourite arcade game character, atop a full mobile 1/32 scale go-kart, of course. With a simple remote controller that enables forward/back and reverse turns, this tiny kart is a perfect introduction to R/C vehicles for smaller drivers. Better still, the solidly built Mario is fully posable, meaning no end of hot role-play action, stunts and hands-free driving. Oh yes. Put one's self in the driving seat and things get more competitive, however. As the engine lights glare, one can engage in a spot of arcade game character racing and duel to the death. Or at least until the batteries run out. Scintillating.

Delicate February 9, 2007 Mr. D. Ryan I just bought this for my little brothers 12th birthday he was excited when he saw it he played with it for less than a minute before maro went crazy and drove all around the room without a single button being pushed. Sometimes he choosed to work other times he doesnt. As a collectors item it's nice but as a toy for children it's very risky.
Waste of money July 31, 2006 J. Davies (Croydon UK) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
When I saw these, I knew my kids, who love Nintendo, would be so excited racing against each other. I bought Mario, DK and Yoshi. Not one worked properly. One control would work another model. The aerial snapped off Mario in about 10 minutes. I was really, really disappointed - but not as much as my children who went mad with excitement when they opened them. They couldn't wait to race each other. They didn't get one race. A real waste of money. A real shame.
Rubbish January 25, 2006 29 out of 31 found this review helpful
I was so excited when I saw these available, and when they went down in price I had to get one. This is the worst RC ever! It goes forward and back, thats it!!!! The only way to steer is to keep putting it in reverse, then forward, then reverse - Oh my god this has got to be the worst toy ever! Please, please, do not by this if you like Mario, do not buy this if you like RCs, actully, just don't buy it (please)
Very fun, but probably doesn't rate with comparable items. January 21, 2006 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
The kart is of a decent build - although Mario's hair appears to be ginger for some strange reason. His head turns round and his arms are poseable, so you can go for a daredevil no-hands drive if you feel the need. The receiving range is reasonable, around 15 feet or so I'd say. Driving and steering is a little disappointing - there's only a forward button and a reverse button that reverses the cart in a backwards turn, which is the only way to turn.Still recommended for those who love the Nintendo aspect!
