Perfect for sleep-overs, camping, or encouraging reluctant sleepers that bed is a good place, the Thomas & Friends Ready Bed is a great way to make night times more fun.
Consisting of a blow-up air bed fitted snugly into a fleecy sleeping bag, the bed features a colourful picture of Thomas. The Ready Bed can be pumped up quickly--an adult could have the bed up and ready within 10 minutes using the small foot pump included, or using an electric pump it takes just a couple of minutes.
The whole bed can be just as quickly deflated and folds down into a matching cylindrical nylon zip-up bag, also included. It is light and portable and will easily fit into a larger suitcase or kit bag. Although this isn't the strongest of bags, it is adequate for keeping the bed packed and for travelling.
The bed zips up along one side, and measures roughly L=155, W=67 & H=20cm, perfect for accommodating young children. It stores away using the minimum of space and as the sleeping bag and blow-up bed are detachable, the fleece bag is washable at 30 degrees. I ordered the ready bed for my son who is 2 1/2 to use while we are staying at the grandparents as he loves Thomas.
We had great fun blowing it up and it looked lovely. The problems came once he got in it as we found he was already too big for it!
We both were very dissapointed it was not bigger as the decription said up to 4 years old. Having said that he is pretty much the same size as his 4 year old cousin but I always thought he was a bit small.
I have now got the junior size ready bed and that looks like it should last him a while.
The Thomas bed is great if you have small kids but if yours are bigger than average go for the Junior Ready Beds.

My daughter loves her Thomas Ready Bed. She is quite tall so her travel cot soon became too small and restrictive. We bought this for her at 18 months old and she loves it. She is now 3 1/2 and we recently took her camping. We had bought her just an inflatable mattress and sleeping bag and she kept sliding off the mattress onto the ground. Fortunately I had also taken her Ready Bed so we put her in this instead. Because of the raised sides and the fact the sleeping bag part is attached to the mattress she stayed in it and was lovely warm.
We have family that live 200 miles away from us so this bed is used on a regular basis and I must say it washes very well and still looks brand new.
The pump is great fun as my daughter even pumps up her own Ready Bed and it is great for deflating too.
The carry bag is good too and it isn't difficult to pack away the bed and pump.
I would recommend this to any parent and the only negative thing about it is that my daughter doesn't want to get out of her bed!

Great to take with you for your little one when staying overnight. My boy is 3 and sleeps well in this bed but He does need a pillow as the integral one is not big enough for him.Wouldn't say that this is a toy but the bouncy aspect is a novelty for a little while. It comes with a foot pump for inflating..I would recommend using an electric one if you have it..the foot one takes forever! Bed deflates to a small size and fits into its own carrying bag which is really handy. Great for occasional use!
