Will drive you nuts - but your kid will love it!!! November 18, 2008 Jen Bobs 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I cannot stand this book - my daughter loves it and it drives me nuts from the second she picks it up and it declares "it's nursery rhyme time". The woman's voice has an annoying accent and for some reason only sings half the song, the music and noises aren't as annoying but you have no way of controlling which you get. Fortunately my in-laws who bought it for her didn't supply extra batteries so when they run out we don't replace them for as long as possible - in fact we only replaced them the last time because we forgot how irritating it was! (it's OK for the in-laws they live 500 miles away!) Your child will no doubt love it - if you are going to get it buy yourself some earplugs!
Great first book November 6, 2008 L. Cooke (N. Ireland) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son has been playing with this since he was about four months. Now at seven months he has figured out how to turn the pages, which are chunky and have little tabs attached. Even from a young age he recognised the nursery rhymes from when I would sing them to him and already seems to have a favourite. Also it is easily wiped clean which is a bonus especially at mealtimes. This is a noisy toy and can get annoying when you hear it over and over again but it keeps my son amused for long periods of time so I definitely recommend it.
Can't Sing July 27, 2008 Mr. A. Palmer (Belfast, UK) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This VTech Nursery Rhyme Book compares poorly with the equivalent models from other manufacturers because i) The singer can't sing. ii) Only the first two lines of the nursey rhyme are sung. Having said that, baby doesn't really notice and loves it anyway! Buy the Fisher-Price Storybook Rhymes instead is my recommendation.
Excellent June 23, 2008 Saswati Swaro (London, UK) I bought this when my daughter was ten months old. She is eighteen months now. She loves this book from the very first day and does not go to bed withut listening all the rhymes. Really good one for babies.
Nursery Rhyme Book June 2, 2008 Miss A C Smith (UK) My friend really loved this for her baby. The baby seemed really entertained by it and enjoyed interacting with it.
