Amazon.com Product Description Things may go bump in the dark, but you don't have to be one of them! The First Alert motion sensing light socket turns the light onN when you enter a room or open a closet, and then turns it off after you leave. It combines the safety and security of a well-lit room with the convenience of easy installation. The hands-free motion sensor screws right into a standard, uncovered light socket, just like a light bulb. No additional wiring is required. The socket senses motion within 360 degrees and is ideal for laundry rooms, garages, basements, attics, walk-in closets, and stairways. Use with 25 to 100-watt bulbs. Not for outdoor use.--Bree NorlanderWhat's in the Box One motion sensing light socket

Not worth the money November 18, 2008 Anthony J. Sofia (MA) Long delay time before turning the light on. Not sensitive enough. Doesn't work well with non-incandescent bulbs. No adjustment of the "time ON" (with no motion). It does look good though. Cannot use it where I wanted because of the long delay time.
No electrician needed November 18, 2008 E. E. Stein (NJ) My wife has been wanting me to remove the pull string switch from our closet light for years, and install a wall switch. Not so easy when you have to go up in the attic to do the work. This is the perfect product. I've removed the pull string, screwed in the the motion sensor, and now we're both happy. The light comes on when we open the closet door, and it goes out in four minutes after we close the door to the closet. I'd like it to go out in 1 minute, but that's a minor complaint.
Saving $$$ November 10, 2008 Panaman (Danbury CT) I've had these motion sensor light sockets in three locations in my house for a couple of years now. I recently purchased some additional ones for myself and family members. They work wonderfully and I recommend them highly. Note, however, that CFL's don't seem to work well with this product.
Light Socket Motion Detector November 4, 2008 John Sund (Illinois) I purchased my original motion detector around twenty years ago. It was in my laundry room, and afforded good visual access when our hands were full. I didn't pay much attention to it until it failed. Then it was sorely missed. I consider this pretty good service for most any product. It performed as advertised and my replacement arrived promptly and my wife is smiling again. I'll probably buy another in twenty more years. Motion Light Detector November 4, 2008 Sonja L. Holloway THe Motion Sensing Light Socket is of good quality. The purchasing and getting to me was fast and packed very well.
